Kiahuna Plantation Real Estate Update- Sold! Twice! Oceanview Kiahuna unit with an accepted offer and a back up offer. My Seller of unit #35 at the Kiahuna Plantation did a $100K price reduction that has gotten a lot of attention. I now have an accepted offer and a back up offer with a quick 21 day close. I did some very detailed videos of the unit for my Buyers who are not on island which aided in their decision to buy. I took one of the view which I’ll share here with you, in the video I zoom in on the view and when I do that it’s more representative of what it actually looks like. Enjoy!

Kauai Community Active With Holiday Outreach
Our island always extends an outreach to the community during the holiday season however this year it seems more than ever. A group of us CRS (Certified Residential Specialists) Kauai Realtors donated money for the Kialaula at Pua Loke project. This project is the first of its kind as it’s designed to transition homeless families to clean, safe housing. Many of them are moving in with the clothes on their backs and were in need of basic household items. We also put together Christmas stockings for the 32 children that are a part of the initial group of families moving in.

Hawaii’s Mandatory Quarantine Reduced To 10 Days
Governor Ige signed a proclamation reducing the 14 day quarantine to 10 days, this went into effect last week.
Alaska Airlines Pre Clears for Hawaii
Working with the State of Hawaii, Alaska Airlines is providing pre-clear at the departure gates of their West Coast flights to Hawaii. This will allow their passengers to bypass the screening when they arrive at the airport. This program is the first of it’s kind and has been applauded by state officials.
Kauai is not a part of this program and their website page states that the pre-clear has been “temporarily halted” for Kauai. Alaska’s flights to Kauai have also been temporarily suspended.

Larry Ellison Says “Goodbye California, Aloha Hawaii”
The founder of Oracle has packed his bags and moved to the island of Lanai which he mostly owns. Along with this news was a prediction of a “year end acceleration of the Bay Area exodus” in order to avoid Californias higher income tax and levies that could be imposed for 2021. Hawaii’s top personal income tax rate is 11% compared to California’s 13.3%. Earlier it was announced that he moved his companies headquarters from California to Austin, TX. Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla, had recently moved to Texas from California.
