Thinking Of Flipping Homes In Hawaii??
If you dream of flipping a home in Hawaii know that we’re in the bottom 10 cities in the United States for flippers. This is good news for Sellers and not so good news for Buyers.  If it was a flipping market we’d be making the headlines that you can buy, flip and make a bunch of money however that is not the case in Hawaii.  According to WalletHub Honolulu was #141 out of 150 cities across the U.S.A for those looking to buy a distressed property, fix it up and sell it high. The criteria used was; 1) Market Potential we ranked 148th place 2) Renovation Costs we ranked 136th place but 3) Quality of life did well at 59th place.

Cities that fared even worse were Boston and Jersey City.  If your are itching to flip head over to Mephis Tennessee which had the highest amount of home flipping in the nation.

Hawaii Tourism Authority Helps Kauai Homeless Get Back Home
The Hawaii Lodging Tourism Authority is not just about getting more, more and more tourist over here to the islands. This story is about the other services that they do for the community.

Last week the Kauai Economic Opportunity organization received a $25,000 dollar donation from the Hawaii Lodging Tourism Authority to help send homeless back to their homes. In order to qualify the homeless person had to 1) prove that they have a support system back home and 2) pay for half of the airfare.
One person living on Kauai was sent back home to Alaska where his mother was providing a place to stay. After the man arrived in Alaska the Kauai Economic Opportunity representative called to follow up to make sure that the man made it to his support system safely. While the man was living on Kauai he could not afford to take care of himself, back in Alaska he felt he had chance as self-sustainability.
Three more received the same service and are now back in Nevada, New Mexico and Montana. There will be more people being helped in the near future and the Big Island and Maui are in the process of implementing this program.

Electrical Power Storage At Kauai Beach Resort
Powin Energy Corporation will be installing software at the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort to power generated by solar energy during the day. Powin Energy is based in Oregon and has been contracted by the state of Hawaii, there will be other sites throughout the state.

Our state has a big goal; to be running at a 100% level of renewable energy by 2045. The storage batteries will go a long way to help with that goal as they will allow us to store power from daytime to peak periods. The company will use 140 kilowatt-hour battery and solar photovoltaic panels.
