Poipu Beach Real Estate Update- Sold!  A listing of mine at Poipu Crater unit #12 sold for $540,000.  This 2/2 condominium had been the owners primary home which is one of the features I like about Poipu Crater; it’s a great vacation rental but roomy enough for a full time residence.  For a complete update on the fee simple market in Poipu Beach click here:  Poipu Beach Current Market Analysis

Kiahuna Plantation Real Estate Update- I just listed a sweet Garden View condominium in building 41 at the Kiahuna Plantation.  At the list price of $79,000 (LH) this is currently the lowest priced unit at the resort.  The owners have been doing updates to this unit over the years and it comes with future direct owner bookings.  For a complete market update on this resort click here:  Kiahuna Plantation Current Market Analysis <img src=”image.gif” alt="kiahunaplantationrealestate“/>

Southwest Launches New San Diego To Honolulu Flight
Last Wednesday Southwest launched their inaugural Southwest San Diego to Honolulu flight.  This is a daily non-stop flight and has been a long anticipated flight for the airline, the pandemic putting the launch further off than the company anticipated, it was originally supposed to start in April, 2020.

Street Burger In Kapa’a Review

On Saturday my hubby and I went to Street Burger in Kapa’a.  They are open from 4-9 Tuesday through Saturday and have limited seating and practice social distancing.  We got there about 4:15 and were seated right away, they have removed about half of their tables.  Our waitress, Heidi, was very pleasant and gave us 5 Star Service.  She suggested the special which was an Oktoberfest Burger which my husband had.  This burger was amazing, it had bratwurst, sauerkraut, gruyere cheese, spinach and housemade whole grain honey mustard aoli.  He loved loved it and opted for the onion rings which he shared and they were yummy!!!  I kept it safe with a Cheeseburger and had the Caesar Salad in place of fries.
That salad substitution was premeditated!  I had my eye on the Congo Bar Sundae for dessert.  This is a housemade Blond Brownie with Lappert’s Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, Dark Chocolate, Caramel with Whipped Cream and Pecans on top.
Two thumbs up for Street Burger and I’m happy to see our local businesses opening back up.

Pre-Travel Testing Open Now To Japanese Visitors
Last Friday 64 passengers arrived at Honolulu on an All Nippon Airways (ANA) flight from Japan.  Travelers from Japan now have the option to bypass the state’s 14-day mandatory quarantine with a negative Covid-19 test taken three days prior to travel just like USA flights.  Currently Japan has 21 trusted partners to work with to get the correct test.
Our Government officials and the Hawaii Tourism Agency said that the Japan market is key to restoring tourism and the economy.  Japan is Hawaii’s No. 1 international source market with more than 1.5 million visitors from Japan arriving in 2019 who spent $2.2 billion.  The 100% drop in their travel has been a hard hit for our state.  The state is currently looking at options to open up our state to Canada, Taiwan, South Korea and New Zealand.

It’s been three weeks since we launched the pre-travel testing and so far there have been 174,515 passengers that have been screened and of those 152,814 were exempted with a negative Covid-19 test, while 10,979 were required to quarantine. The number of arrivals included 115,934 visitors and 58,581 Hawaii residents.
