The mood on the island is somber, everyone is so incredibly sad. We all have family, friends and coworkers on all the islands so in this respect the islands are very much connected by roadways of people’s hearts. A way to deal with the grief and sadness is to help but to do so in a way that effective, for those that are not physically here monetary donation drives are available. However, with that come the scammers which we’ve encountered already. Just be careful where you donate and make sure it’s a legitimate organization before sending your money.

Since last Wednesday over 46,000 people have flown out of Kahului Airport and some tourist came here to Kauai to finish their vacation. The Hawaiian Tourism Authority has told people that are traveling to West Maui for the next several months should choose a different destination. I believe that travel to Hawaii will continue but those that were going to Maui will instead go to Kauai, Oahu or the Big Island.

Hawaii Real Estate Year To Date 2023 vs 2022
Moving forward the Maui Real Estate information will be dramatically different, this graph is the last that shows the Maui market as it was. As of August 14 there were 2,200 structures that were destroyed but the accuracy of information is still coming in.
