The Minds Eye in Lihue
We don’t have a lot of furniture options here on Kauai and this place is a real find. The Minds Eye is located on Rice Street in Lihue. They have contemporary and island themed furniture for every room.
The main floor is the one you enter into from the street, they have a downstairs and upstairs as well. The selection was fantastic and so was the service. I spoke to Jacqueline one of their design consultants who said that she had just helped a couple furnish their entire condominium and they will also haul away your old furniture. They do special ordering for upholstery as well.
This is their third location, there is a store on the Big Island and Maui.
My hubby and I got a couple of lovely lamps that we took home in our truck, parking and pick up were super easy. They will deliver furniture as well.

Hawaiian Airlines Subtracts And Adds Routes
This November Hawaiian Air will suspend service between Honolulu and Boston, Incheon in South Korea and Fukuoka in Japan.
The aircraft will be used for new flights being added between Honolulu and Australia, Tahiti, Los Angeles and Washington State.
Those new flights will be;
✈️ Increasing Honolulu-Sydney service with daily flights, up from five weekly flights, from Dec. 18 through Jan. 31.
✈️ Offering two weekly Honolulu-Papeete flights, up from one weekly flight, starting in March.
✈️ Launching a fifth daily flight between Honolulu and Los Angeles in peak seasons, starting Nov. 21 to Dec. 1, and Dec. 19 to Jan. 6.
✈️ Adding a fourth Honolulu-Seattle daily flight from late November to mid-April.
✈️ Five times a week flights between Seattle and Incheon on September 12.
Airport Family Lanes and Apps!
At the Honolulu International Airport there is now a security lane for families. It’s called “Families on the Fly” and TSA officers will help with carry-on bags and strollers. The family lane is in Terminal 2 which is used for International and some Domestic flights to the mainland.
There are plans to extend this to Terminal 1 which services interisland flights and flights to the mainland.
Honolulu and Lihue Airport Apps
Lihue airport now has their own app which will help travelers find check-in locations, security checkpoints and restrooms. Honolulu also has a similar app and there is one in the works for Maui.
For the Honolulu app there is a much needed parking count feature that is refreshed every 10 minutes.
