Poipu Beach Multi-Million Dollar Homes On Display For A Good Cause
If you have ever wanted to tour $4, $5 and $10 Million dollar luxury Poipu Beach homes with no pressure to buy you can do just that on August 21st. Fifteen or so homes in Kukui’ula will be on the 2025 Summer Parade of Homes for the public to tour. And, it’s all for a good cause if you want to participate. Kauai Kids Back In School
If you are driving around Kauai keep in mind that the kids went back to school last week. School traffic will impact travel times and there are little kids running around near schools that have not had activity for months.
Is it me or is this early? I remember going back in September but these kids are a month earlier.
Huge Waves Nearly Capsize Boat
Have you ever seen a boat surf high waves? Watching our news we all did. Over the weekend we had a high surf advisory for all south facing shores. A large swell was bringing in 10-to-14-foot waves, strong currents and rough ocean conditions.
Making the news was the “Discovery Shuttle Boat Atlantis” that was captured on video almost capsizing due to the high surf. The boat is seen getting picked up by a wave and then almost capsizing as it gets pushed by a second wave that came up right behind it.
The only people on board were the captain and two crewmembers, no passengers. After getting tossed around the shuttle boat ran aground on the reef.

Oahu, Maui and Big Island Real Estate Sales Year-To-Date 2025 vs 2024
Last week I had posted the Year To Date sales for Kauai for the first 7 months compared to the same time the year before.
This week I have the islands of Oahu, Maui and the Big Island. Kauai is the only island that is positive for the Number of Homes Sold and an increase in the Median Price for Condominiums. Oahu and the Big Island are showing an uptick in their Median Price for Homes.
