Poipu Beach Real Estate Update- Sold! Congratulations to my first time homebuyers who were up against some pretty stiff competition for this sweet home in Kalaheo. Completely renovated with a massive back yard that is filled with fruits and veggies this property got a lot of attention and quickly went into a multiple offer situation. List price was $750,000 and it sold for $800,000.

Hawaii Safe Travels To Possibly End
Lt. Governor Josh Green stated that Hawaii’s Safe Travels program could possibly end around March 17th. There are a couple of contributing factors to this: Federal Funding for Safe Travels and the support of the National Guard both end around the first of April. Additionally the Covid case numbers are on the decline and the States Vaccination rate is around 75%.
Currently to enter the state of Hawaii you need to show proof of being vaccinated or a negative test taken within 72 hours of arrival.
Already we are seeing signs of a pull back on the restrictions; Maui recently dropped their requirement to show proof of vaccination for bars, gym and theatres. Oahu has the same policy and they are talking about dropping it on March 5.

Kiawe Roots Now Open
This locally grown restaurant, which originally started as a food truck, was one of the many that shut down during the pandemic. They were located in the Kukui’ula Shopping Village and it was a real favorite of mine so it was sad when they closed. But they are back open and better than ever!
Their new location is in Lawai on Kaumualii Highway (near the post office and the 711). They have a sit-down dining area that was very attractive and fun. You can also order online which is what we did and it was easy to do, our food was ready and packed up to go for me to pick up at the time that I appointed. I took it over to a friends house and we ate poolside. The food was hot and super fresh.
We had the Smoked Cheese Pasta as a side and it was soooooooo yummy. If you like Mac and Cheese My friend had the Tofu with White BBQ Sauce and I took her word for it that it was good (sorry folks, not a tofu lover). I had the Garlic Parsley Chicken with garlic sesame soy sauce which was really good.
