Kiahuna Plantation Real Estate Update- In Escrow! After only 6 days on the market unit my listing #245 got an accepted offer. What I love about this top floor corner unit is the privacy and the extra louvers on the side walls. There’s even an extra outside door leading to the unit, great unit.

What The New CDC Travel Policy Means For Hawaii
Hawaii’s Lt. Governor Josh Green has been a longtime proponent for allowing visitors to return safely to Hawaii. So the news that was released by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) this last week was especially welcome. The CDC has stated that those who are fully vaccinated, which means 2 weeks after your final vaccine shot, can travel without restrictions in the United States. Using a mask, avoiding crowds, social distancing and washing your hands is still a requirement.
Calling this a “game changer” for Hawaii tourism Lt. Green stated “It means that the CDC has blessed the use of ‘vaccine passports’ for travel in the United States, and we are prepping the process now to make that happen.”
Hawaii’s Safe Travels Program remains the same at this time. Visitors and Residents traveling to Hawaii still need to provide a negative Covid test within 72 hours of traveling to Hawaii to bypass the 10-day quarantine.
No announcement on when this will change however Lt. Green said work is being done on the development of a “vaccine passport”.
Kauai Real Estate Year To Date Statistics, 2020 vs 2021
We have the first three months of this year’s real estate data available. The residential market continues to climb and an interesting development is the vacation rental condo market. While the prices are still down on both the South and North Shore look at the number of sales, up almost 70% on the South Shore and 44% on the North Shore. I believe this to be a direct result of the news that buyers were waiting for: Kauai joining the safe travels program and the success of the vaccine distribution.
